What I do

My role is to ensure that AXA IM Select is operating at all times in compliance with the necessary legal and regulatory requirements. The Legal & Compliance team is solution oriented, and is split between Paris, London, Dublin, Brussels and Hong Kong.

 Where I’ve been

I joined AXA IM Select in December 2021, after a 25 year career in the legal field, in investment banking (in France and the UK), then asset management where I was at AXA IM Paris for 16 years, and finally funds’ distribution. Before acting as an in-house lawyer, I was a French teacher in Bahrain, then a sales representative for French furniture in Chicago for a couple of years.

What I’ve learnt

Advising traders in investment banking in the 1990’s has taught me to resist great stress, and to deal with touchy situations. Working in a true international environment gave me the opportunity to understand and adapt to various professional cultures. Most of all, I’ve enjoyed negotiating, and finding solutions in tricky issues. I have learnt to listen to my counterparts.
